Classification principles
- Every figure must trace to a source document (source-linked).
- The account must reconcile to zero before it can be exported.
- Schedule I is always zero under Option B.
- Schedule J carries the primary carrying value; market value is reference only.
Schedules
Assets on hand at the start of the period.
- Beginning charge; mirrors the CC-1670 inventory.
- Stated at date-of-death values, not qualification-date values.
Adjustments to asset values.
- Records positive or negative adjustments, including unrealized market changes.
- OPEN ITEM: an unrealized decrease may belong on Schedule B (per the system spec) or Schedule E (per the sample workbook). Pending Commissioner confirmation.
Income and receipts.
- Dividends and interest earned by the estate.
- Reinvested dividends are still Schedule C income.
- Income earned on a predecessor account before the estate account opened is Schedule C.
Gains and capital-gain distributions.
- Realized gains on sales of assets.
- Capital-gain fund distributions are Schedule D.
Losses on sales.
- Realized losses on sales of assets.
Disbursements and expenses paid.
- Attorney fees and personal-representative fees are Schedule F, never Schedule H.
- Fiduciary income tax, funeral and final expenses, and Commissioner filing fees are Schedule F.
Distributions to beneficiaries.
- True distributions to beneficiaries only, each carrying a Note.
- Executor checks that merely collect or move estate assets are principal transfers, not Schedule G.
Personal representative compensation.
- Per the system spec, personal-representative and attorney fees are recorded on Schedule F, so Schedule H is typically zero for this estate.
- Used only if PR compensation is taken here rather than on Schedule F.
Assets on hand at the end of the period.
- Carrying value is primary; market value is shown as reference only.
- This is the reconciliation target.
Synthetic demonstration data. Not legal, tax, or accounting advice; not for filing.
